Silver-cadmium alloy has good workability and can be cold-worked into wires and sheets. High-cadmium alloys such as AgCd97 do not require intermediate annealing. It is mainly used as contacts in electrical appliances like sensitive low-voltage relays, braking relays, and light to medium load AC contactors. Additionally, AgCd25 and AgCd97 are used as solders.
